Mike St. Charles Honored with Chief Justice William M. Barker Equal Access to Justice Award
Legal Aid of East Tennessee (LAET) recognized Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. attorney Mike St. Charles with its Chief Justice William M. Barker Equal Access to Justice Award at their Annual Pro Bono Night on October 3, 2024. Mike was honored for his unwavering commitment to providing legal services to those in need.
“We are thrilled to see Mike receive this well-deserved honor, ” said President and Managing Shareholder Mark Cunningham. “LAET has acknowledged what we at Chambliss and many in our community have witnessed for decades, Mike’s heart of service and tireless work ethic. He genuinely embodies the values we stand for at Chambliss, both in his actions and in his leadership within our community.”
In addition, Mike was inducted into LAET’s Hall of Fame in 2020. He has dedicated hundreds of hours to counseling individuals and community organizations through pro bono representation. Mike followed in the footsteps of previous Chambliss attorneys inducted into the Hall of Fame: Max Bahner, Bruce Bailey, Justice William “Muecke” Barker, Bill Carriger, and Glenn C. Stophel.
